History

Dunin-Barkovsky Daniil Dmitrievich, the great-uncle of Dunin Richard Evgenievich, restored the family's historical surname in 2021, after they changed their surname during the repressions, removing the name of the noble coat of arms.

In 2022, the development of the concept of a family brand began, embodying the traditions, culture and history of the family. During this period, the brand identity began to form with the participation of its own design studio. We seriously thought about our own visual identity, which could meet the philosophy and values of Dunin-Barkovsky.

In 2024, trial samples were sewn together with the atelierigolka experimental production workshop, which laid the foundation for future collections. We organized an author's photo exhibition within the framework of the project "Project October".

On August 8, 2024, the first batch of T-shirts was sewn, as part of a collaborative project with an engineering company, and this day is considered Dunin-Barkovsky's birthday.

The next year was the trademark registration process and the search for new opportunities for the brand begins.
Cooperation with factories is being established and all production processes are being organized.

Today, in St. Petersburg, together with the experimental production workshop, there is a team that independently controls the creation of collections.

In 2026, the first Premium collection was released under the Dunin-Barkovsky brand.

Today, we are actively developing partnerships within the country, creating transparent production chains and simplifying logistics. An architectural plan is being developed for a new spacious office in the historical center of St. Petersburg, where all brand directorates and a sample room will be located.

We support the social project "Help Nearby" to support charitable foundations and other non-profit organizations.

We are actively working on launching new collections and trends.
